This is our story: it's been happy, it's been sad, it's been frustrating, but it's always been very, very sweet.

Merry Christmas, from the Emoticarolers!
Until I can find the time and energy to post some real Christmas cheer, here's a little carol I've written in anticipation of little H's arrival. Hope you enjoy!!
is me. I'm a traveler at heart who has been temporarily pinned to her home. I love big, live large, and always try to take out some time to appreciate the things that matter most to me. I ♥: my husband, our baby boy, and our doggies. In my former life, I was a graduate student working on a Ph.D., but have put that dream on hold to stay at home with my boy...and it's been my most award-winning role yet.
Our story is as simple as it gets, but still more romantic than most: we were neighbors, and we met one day over a bottle of wine. French wine, to be precise. The first thing I loved about H was the bald spot on the top of his head, and the first thing he loved about me, I'm sure, was my uncanny ability to make terrible Chai tea. After falling in love with such uninmportant things, how could we not be perfect for each other?

In memoriam
I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.
So runs my dream, but what am I? An infant crying in the night An infant crying for the light And with no language but a cry. ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson ~
